LIVING THE WHEEL

when a clearing is made in the dense wilderness of the self, every moment is reintroduced as an invitation to connect. the ensnarement of meaningless routine and desire for the momentary satisfaction of consumption fade. the perception of separateness from Great Mother and all her kin is transformed. deep within our bones, memories of a life intimately shared with the wind, coyote and bear, changing seasons, and the night sky lie dormant. memories of circling community, of song, dance, and unaltered Being. we were made to live in awe, not endurance and abdication of our soul contract to humanness in this life. no wonder we grieve an almost unnamable and pervasive sorrow. a something missing that often masquerades as a something wrong with the self. the dream of living, soul stirring open mouthed full living, is neglected and replaced by the demand of productivity and gain. we carry the weight of this sorrow until we fiercely commit to remember the precious gift of this wild life.
